After going through a painful divorce several years ago, Suzy transformed her negative experience into a positive way to help build other women up. She wrote a book called Radical Recovery. R.A.D.I.C.A.L stands for RISING ABOVE DIVORCE IN CONFIDENCE AND LOVE. Her book and her approach to life have been so influential and inspirational for women that she now speaks for large groups regularly, and gives tools and coaching to facilitate support groups throughout the country.
She recently came to me and asked if I wouldn't mind coming up with some ideas for a logo for her. I was delighted and honored to be even a tiny help to something that gives women who are struggling to pick up the pieces that first bit of solid footing... hope, support and friendship. Shown below is the version Suzy chose, and we opted for the star dotting the "i" to symbolize the hope of moving forward.

Maybe a reason why Suzy's mission touches me so deeply is that I feel like God has woven the theme of redemption so deeply through my life. Both through His pursuit of me, and my story with Jason, I feel like God has shown me how he can transform hopeless and dark situations into the biggest blessings. I really feel that the hard things we go through are our biggest opportunities to see God, and to get and give new life. That's what I love about what Suzy is doing. The verse that begins her book is:
"God is kind, but He's not soft.
In kindness, He takes us by the hand
and leads us to a radical life change."
- Romans 2:4 (The Message)
