Mrs. Ashlea Campbell

I had the pleasure of attending a phenomenal wedding this weekend in Dallas. My friend Ashlea, who I met in 2nd grade (and Jason met in kindergarten) has been one of my best friends for 19 years now! She is such a wonderful friend and I am so happy for her and Murad. The wedding was so beautiful because it was full of homemade DIY touches- down to her intricate wedding dress which her mom handmade for her. It was amazing and so so lovely.

I loved how Ashlea used her creativity in every detail: from her signature drink (a Siberian Husky in honor of their two dogs Samson & Maya), to incorporating the African ritual of jumping the broom into her ceremony, to having guests sign squares of fabric in lieu of a guest book that will later be made into a wedding quilt. I loved meeting new people and seeing old friends, including my dear friend Ashley Post who is also in pink pants in the skating picture. Except for having one too many Siberian Huskies, and scheduling a 7:30 return flight Sunday morning, (what was I thinking?) I had an amazing time. Cheers to Ashlea & Murad and their new life together as Mr. & Mrs. Campbell! :)

Thanks to Katie for the photo from this weekend!

I also like how Ashlea & I have matching Minnie Mouse skates. I would really enjoy taking a spin in those again.

oh, Amber! I love the pics, especially the picture at Skate East! I wish I could've incorporated that into our wedding as well! I wish we could do it all over again. I had such a wonderful time with you this weekend. It was the best!
